EAST HADDAM, Conn. -- Two people were injured when the motorcycle they were traveling on struck a deer in East Haddam on Sunday, police said.The pair was driving on Leesville Road in the Moodus section of town when police said the animal jumped out in front of the motorcycle.The motorcyclist lost control after striking the deer, police said.The motorcycle's driver and passenger, identified as Jeffrey and Gail Waskiewicz, of Haddam, were transported to Hartford Hospital. One of the pair was airlifted to the hospital, the other was transported by ambulance.
Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, police said.
