MERIDEN, Conn. -- Firefighters battled two blazes in Meriden Friday morning, including one at a church.

Fire officials said the fires broke out on Colony and Camp streets in the early-morning hours.

One of the fires was reported at the Church Of Restoration before 3 a.m.

Several crews from surrounding towns responded to assist in putting out the blaze.

Both fires were extinguished by 6 a.m.
