DANIELSON, Conn. -- Jen Watson said the engagement ring is shiny and ready to go for her Nov. 8 wedding, but the same can’t be said for the wedding gown she ordered in April. With only 11 days until the wedding, she said she's freaking out a bit.“I started to get extremely alarmed,” she said. “We're at the point where I don't know what to do."Her soon-to-be husband, Chris Devillez, said he feels the same way. He and all the groomsmen and bridesmaids are also waiting for their orders from the Classic Images shop in Danielson.“No one's gotten anything," said Watson.“We're closing the store because of the economy," said Gary St. John, whose wife, Cindy, owns Classic Images. He said Classic Images is going out of business, but will meet all the obligations to its remaining contract holders."Everything's fine,” said St. John. “We're going to honor our contracts. The dresses, they should be here this Friday. They should be taken care of."Watson and Devillez said the issue isn’t just that they don’t have their wedding clothes at the 11th hour. They said that for the past few weeks no one from the store has responded to their pleas for information or confirmations.“I can't wait, I have to get another dress,” said Watson. “This was my dream dress. I mean, ask any bride. You can't just pick up and go to another local store and get a dress."So far, they said, everyone involved has put down $2,700 for the clothes.
