CHESTER, Conn. -- Two people were injured when their motorcycle collided with a deer and vehicle Wednesday.

The incident took place Wednesday afternoon on Middlesex Avenue, police said. They said the incident caused the road to be closed briefly.

Connecticut State Police said the pair on the motorcycle was alert and talking when they were taken by LIFESTAR from the scene. They were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries, police said.
