EAST HAMPTON, Conn. -- Police entered a standoff Wednesday with an armed man, which forced the area to be closed to traffic.The incident took place on Main Street during the afternoon hours, police said, and led to a standoff with the man at a residence in the area.Police said the distraught man has barricaded himself inside a house.
