Police said they're looking for the brother of a Southbury teenager shot in his home on Monday.

The person of interest's car was found near a Warren school after the incident, prompting school officials to put the school in lockdown for the students' safety.

Police said the body of Ronald Throckmorton was found shot to death in his home on White Birch Drive. They said they're looking for his brother as the person of interest.

Neighbor Roz Ross said a mother and two teenagers live at the residence where the incident occurred.

Matt Rooney, who's a friend of the victim and his brother, said he's been getting text messages from the victim's sister all day.

Connecticut State Police said the victim's brother's vehicle was found in Warren near Warren Elementary School on Sackett Hill Road.

The school was put in lockdown as a precaution, they said. They’re looking for the victim's brother, they said.

Police searched for the suspect Monday afternoon in the woods near the crime scene and the area near the school where the vehicle was found.

As of 4:15 p.m., the students at Warren Elementary School were still in lockdown.

Police said students weren’t being put on buses because the area in which there were searching was also the location of many bus stops.

Parents were told they had to come to the school to pick up their children.
