MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Two seniors at Middletown High School are accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Police said the alleged assault happened in a stairwell at the school before the Christmas break.

Reginald Allen Jr. and Lanzell Barnes, both 18, are facing several charges in connection with the incident.

Officials said the students are no longer at the school, but wouldn't say whether they were suspended or expelled.

Both Allen and Barnes are due in court Friday.
