State police have arrested 13 people, including several baggage handlers, after a six-month investigation into thefts at Bradley International Airport.

State police said they've recovered stolen items including laptop computers, flat-screen televisions, MP3 players, GPS units, jewelry and 5-foot wooden carved African masks.

Those arrested include Angel Rodriquez, of Westfield, Mass.; Gabriel Serrano, of Springfield, Mass.; Marc Italia, of Middletown; Trevor Brown, of Hartford; Lamar Campbell, of Hartford; Liza Ramirez, of Broad Brook; Ismael Amaro, of Hartford; Jervis Weaver, of Hartford; Corey Roy, of Manchester; Marcus Austin-Casares, of Broad Brook; and Nelson Torres, of Hartford.

With the exception of Amaro, those arrested were employed by either Delta Global Services or Delta Airlines. They face various charges including larceny, burglary, circumventing security measures and tampering with evidence.

Police said the investigation began last August after a passenger reported having an iPod stolen from luggage on a Delta flight.

In addition to the luggage thefts, police determined that a cargo storage unit at the airport had been burglarized.
