WATERBURY, Conn. -- Police continue to search for the gunman in the fatal shooting of a Waterbury bouncer.Police said Lawrence Mates, 27, of Waterbury, was shot in the head in the parking lot of Swizzle Stix bar early Sunday morning. Mates worked as a bouncer and doorman at the bar, police said.Police said Mates had removed a person from the bar before being shot.Mates was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.Police have an arrest warrant for Andre West, 18, of Meriden, charging him with murder. West was not in custody on Monday morning, but police said officers were actively searching for him.Anyone with information regarding West's whereabouts is urged to contact police by dialing 203-755-1234.
