BERLIN, Conn. -- An action movie written by a Waterbury native will soon begin filming in Connecticut.The movie "Opponent" will feature actors Jeremy London and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.Cameras are set to begin rolling on July 7. The majority of the film will be shot at Paldolfe’s Auto Parts scrap yard in Berlin. Other scenes will be shot at The Foundry Property in Rocky Hill, Makris Diner in Wethersfield and Centerfolds in Berlin.The movie is about a junkyard owner who offers a reward to whomever can kill aliens that have crashed into her barn.The script was written by Waterbury native John Doolan, and is being produced by Synthetic Cinema International.
