HARTFORD, Conn. -- A man is accused of firing shots as crowds were leaving Riverfest in Hartford Saturday night.

Police said the man began firing shots around 10 p.m. near Talcott Street as crowds were leaving the Riverfest fireworks celebration.

Police said no one was hit by the bullets and the man was arrested immediately.

Hartford police said a handgun was recovered at the scene.

The man's identity has not been released.
