LISBON, Conn. -- A 14-year-old Moosup girl remains hospitalized after a hit-and-run in Lisbon over the weekend.

Police said the girl was walking on the shoulder of Route 12 around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by an SUV.

Police said the SUV was dark-colored and took off toward Norwich after striking the girl.

The girl was taken to an area hospital with a head injury. Her condition was not being released Monday morning.
