Car Rear-Ends Bus Carrying Students

HARTFORD -- Authorities said a school bus carrying students of the Montessori and Hartford magnet schools was rear-ended Thursday.At about 7:45 a.m., a car crashed into the bus on exit 29A southbound off of Interstate 91, police said. There were 19 students aboard the bus at the time, according to school officials.No injuries have been reported; however, police said some students without parent release forms will be taken to the hospital for evaluation as part of state police policy.Responding officials also said that the bus was leaking fuel as a result of the crash, but they said the leak is not serious.There is no word on the driver of the car's condition.Neither school has commented on the crash.Stay with WFSB and refresh this page often for the latest details on this developing story.
