A woman from Georgia is under arrest after being accused of walking into Ledyard High School and trying to persuade a student to leave with her.

Police said that Geraldine Sebastian of Atlanta arrived at Ledyard High School unannounced and entered the school without checking in at the office.

Police said that she then found a 13-year-old relative in the hallway.

She tried to convince the student to leave with her and when she refused, police said that she tried to grab the student.

Students and staff members intervened and authorities were called.

Sebastian was arrested and charged with risk of injury, criminal trespass and breach of peace.
