PRESTON, Conn. -- At least one person was killed Monday morning when a passenger van collided with a bus on Route 2 in Preston.

The crash was reported at School House Road around 4 a.m.

Both westbound and eastbound lanes of the roadway were closed following the crash. All lanes had reopened by 7 a.m.

State police said there were several passengers on the bus and no one on the bus was injured. They said at least one person was killed in the van.

No identities have been released.
