SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. -- A woman was killed in a fire at a South Windsor condominium complex Sunday evening.The blaze was reported at the Candlewood Drive complex on Ellington Road at about 7:30 p.m.Fire officials evacuated residents and an unconscious woman was found inside.The victim, later identified as Robin Coakley, 49, was taken to Manchester Memorial Hospital, where she later died.Officials said she died of smoke inhalation.Police believe that the fire started in the kitchen, and smoke quickly filled up with smoke.Neighbor Sara Herbert said, "She lived by herself, kept to herself. I just talked to her the other day so that's crazy."Police said that when neighbors came home last night, they saw smoke pouring from the windows and didn't realize that someone was home until they were informed by police. Police also said that by the time firefighters arrived, the woman was overcome by smoke.Neighbors said that Coakley didn't have a lot of family, but police said that they notified her mother.
