Pedestrian Struck In Willimantic

Officials Say Weather May Be To Blame

A pedestrian walking along Route 14 and Route 195 was struck in Willimantic Saturday night.

Emergency crew said the weather may have caused the driver to strike the unidentified victim.

The incident was reported in the area of Tony’s Pizza around 8 p.m.

The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital and was listed in serious, but stable condition Sunday morning.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
