Four people were injured in an early-morning Thursday crash in Ledyard.

Police said a vehicle rolled on Route 214, just east of Shewville Road. They said the vehicle, a Ford F-150, struck a guard rail and rolled over with the driver and five passengers inside.

Four of the occupants were taken to Backus Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, identified as Charles Smallwood, of the sub base in Groton, was cited for traveling too fast for conditions.
