Pedestrian Killed In Farmington ID'd

Man Dies After Being Airlifted To Hospital

A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Farmington has been identified.

Police said Edward Gorecki, 55, died after being airlifted to Hartford Hospital on Wednesday morning.

Gorecki was struck by a Ford Expedition on Brickyard Road just before 8 a.m.

The road remained closed for several hours after the incident.

The driver of the Expedition was identified as Paula Bauer, 41, of Farmington.

Police said Thursday that the crash remains under investigation.
