HARTFORD, Conn. -- Dr. William Petit is asking Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to investigate the jailhouse interviews that one of the men suspected of killing his wife and two daughters gave to an author, who later published a book.A very tight schedule was set by the judge on Friday to try to keep the murder trial for Stephen Hayes on track. However, the publication of the book about the killings could bring on a delay.Petit and his family have showed up for every court date since the two men charged with killing his wife and two daughters were arrested. The trial for one of the suspects is scheduled to begin in January. However on Friday, the judge set a schedule for an anticipated motion by Hayes’ attorney to delay jury selection because of a book released that was authored by someone who interviewed Joshua Komisarjevsky while in prison, possibly violating a gag order for everyone involved in the case.Petit said, “We would think they would be at the top of their gun when they are in charge of the infamous prisoners within their system.”The judge set a court date of Dec. 10.
