Fire Officials Say Squatters Living In Home

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- A fire, sparked by a candle, damaged a home in New Haven Thursday morning, fire officials said.Fire officials said the fire began in the rear of a home on Hazel Street at about 3:30 a.m. They said there was no electricity or heat in the home, and seven squatters were living in the house.No one was injured in the blaze. Those living inside the home were taken to a motel and were being assisted by the American Red Cross.
