CLINTON, Conn. -- A woman was assaulted when she interrupted a burglary at her Clinton home Thursday morning, police said.Police said a resident of the Evergreen Springs mobile home park came home just after 8 a.m. to discover a burglar in her home. Police said the woman was physically assaulted during the attempted burglary. After assaulting the resident, the man fled the home, police said.A state police K-9 unit was called to search for the burglar. Michal Walsh, 22, was arrested in connection with the attempted burglary. He was charged with home invasion, burglary, assault and criminal attempt to commit larceny. His bond was set at $250,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.The Joel School and Morgan High School were not locked down during the investigation, but school officials said security measures were enhanced from about 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. while police investigated nearby. A letter was sent home to parents to inform them of the situation.
