Police ID 2 Teens Killed In Shelton Crash
Police: Third Teen Recovering At Area Hospital

SHELTON, Conn. -- On Saturday, the Shelton Police Department identified the two teens killed in a single-car crash that killed two teens and sent another to an area hospital Friday.Police identified the driver as Lawrence J. Morra, 19, of Stratford, and the front-seat passenger as Viviana R. Cavalli, 18, of Shelton. Police said both were pronounced dead at the scene.Police also identified the 18-year-old rear seat passenger as Kassandra N. Dimas, 18, of Ridgewood. Dimas was able to walk away from the crash to get help before she was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital, where she is currently listed in satisfactory condition.Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Ray Villeda reported that a small blue Honda was exiting off Route 8 in Shelton at about 11:05 p.m. when it traveled up in an embankment and came to rest 40 to 50 feet in the woods, smashed between two trees.Police told Villeda that the car was making a right turn on to Constitution Boulevard South from the Route 8 exit 13 ramp.Investigators said they believe speed is a possible factor in the crash.The crash is currently under investigation by the Shelton Police Accident Reconstruction Team with the assistance of the Trumbull Police Accident Reconstruction Team.Police said Constitution Boulevard South and the Route 8 Northbound exit ramp are closed to traffic at this time.
