Police Investigate Subway Robberies

Robbery Results In Pursuit

POSTED: 10:02 pm EST November 22, 2009

Two sandwich shops located about 5 miles apart were robbed Sunday, but police said the incidents are unrelated.

The first robbery was reported at a Subway restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike. The second was reported at a Subway on East Street in Plainville.

Police said the Berlin robbery resulted in a pursuit up Route 9 into West Hartford. Police said officers stopped pursuing the vehicle because it became too dangerous.

Police said an arrest was made after a brief investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is urged to contact police.
