Police Investigate Subway Robberies

BERLIN, Conn. -- Two sandwich shops located about 5 miles apart were robbed Sunday, but police said the incidents are unrelated.The first robbery was reported at a Subway restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike. The second was reported at a Subway on East Street in Plainville.Police said the Berlin robbery resulted in a pursuit up Route 9 into West Hartford. Police said officers stopped pursuing the vehicle because it became too dangerous.Police said an arrest was made after a brief investigation.Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is urged to contact police.
