MERIDEN, Conn. -- A teen was stabbed in the chest during an altercation in Meriden Saturday night, police said.

Police two teens got into an altercation at about 4:30 p.m. They said one of the teens stabbed the other in the chest.

The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital and was listed in serious, but non-life-threatening condition on Sunday.

The other teen, whose identity has not been released, was taken into police custody.
