1 Killed, 1 Injured In Head-On Crash

Crash Shuts Portion Of Rt. 34

OXFORD, Conn. -- One person was killed and another injured in a head-on crash in Oxford Friday evening.

Police said the crash was reported on Route 34 near Punkup Road at about 7 p.m.

A portion of the roadway was closed following the crash, state police said. The road reopened before 10 p.m.

Police said an SUV and Lexus collided head-on.

The victims' identities were not released Friday night.
