EAST WINDSOR, Conn. -- Investigators with the Department of Motor Vehicles conducted a raid at an East Windsor car dealer Friday morning, after receiving a list of complaints from customers and businesses. No one was at the Extreme Performance auto dealership during the raid, but that did not stop investigators from gathering facts. Officials said with all the records locked up in the offices, there is a lot of digging ahead.Micah Rothrauff traveled six hours from Pennsylvania for an SUV he purchased. The people who were supposed to hand the keys over, never showed up.Rothrauff said, "So I'm basically gonna turn around drive back six and a half hours. Yeah, not real happy right now."It turned out, Rothrauff wasn't the only one who has had problems with Extreme Performance.Bill Seymour, of the DMV said, "We came up here today to both examine all the vehicles on the property, to do an inspection of these vehicles and whether they were properly displayed for sale, as well as to go through the paperwork."The DMV said the complaints include everything from cars being sold without titles to people not getting money back when they have had problems with the cars they purchased.Officials from the DMV said the owner, David Bishop of Southwick, Mass., was not at the dealership and was not responding to calls.
