Man Hit By Tow Truck In Middletown

Victim Hospitalized With Head Injury

A man was struck by a tow truck while crossing a Middletown street on Friday evening.

Police said Edward Duwell, 65, of Trumbull, was crossing Washington Street when he was struck by a tow truck driven by Franklin Smith, of Middletown.

Duwell was taken to Hartford Hospital with a head injury. He was listed in stable condition Friday night.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
