ROCKY HILL, Conn. -- Fire crews from all over Rocky Hill were called to Pheasant Drive late Tuesday morning after getting word of a gas leak at a home.Officials said that with all of the crews at the scene in Rocky Hill, fire departments from Cromwell and Wethersfield were tapped to man the fire stations until the situation on Pheasant Drive cleared. The fire department learned of the gas leak after crews that were picking up discarded Christmas trees smelled a natural gas odor. After that, the entire road was blocked off and one home was evacuated for a period of time. The road and scene is now cleared. The family that was evacuated has since been allowed back into its home. Family members made the best of a bad situation, though; they all went out to breakfast.
