BLOOMFIELD, Conn. -- Police in Bloomfield said they, along with a hazmat team, were responding to Goodman Street on Monday afternoon to investigate an untimely death.According to police, an officer on patrol found a car with the body of a woman inside on Monday morning.Multiple crews, including the Bloomfield Police Evidentiary Unity, the Capitol Region Hazmat Team and the Hartford Bomb Squad were called in to investigate.Capt. Jeff Blatter of the Bloomfield Police Department said, "As he walked up on it, he could smell the odor of chemicals and could see a body in the car. He immediately backed off."Agencies including the Department of Environmental Protection were called in to try to determine what the chemicals were.Police did not want to specify what types of chemicals were discovered. Police said the scene did suggest a suicide although the investigation is ongoing.
