Truck Hits Utility Pole, Meriden Road Closed
About 2 Dozen Customers Without Power

MERIDEN, Conn. -- A portion of a Meriden road was closed Thursday morning after a truck struck a utility pole.Police said Miller Street was closed in the area of Caitlin Street after a truck hit a pole shortly after 10 a.m.About two dozen customers were without power as a result of the crash.It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured in the crash.The road is expected to remain closed while officers investigate and crews work to repair the pole.
