WESTPORT, Conn. -- One person was killed and three others injured when a tree fell on a car in Westport Saturday evening.

Police said officers and members of the Westport Fire Department and EMS were called to Park Lane for reports of a tree on a vehicle.

Three of the vehicle’s occupants had exited the vehicle when officers arrived. The fourth person, who was still in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other three people were taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

Police identified her Sunday as 39-year-old Jennifer Thibault, of Long Valley, N.J.

The incident remains under investigation.
