NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- A girl was sexually assaulted behind a New Haven church Friday night, police said.

Police said a man forced an underage girl off a bus and took her behind the Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. James.

The girl was sexually assaulted behind the church, which is located at the intersection of Chapel and Olive streets.

The incident remains under investigation.
