Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Parking Lot

Victim's Wallet, Backpack Stolen In Newington

Police are searching for two men they said robbed a man in Newington at gunpoint.

The victim told police that after getting off a bus in the Price Chopper Plaza on the Berlin Turnpike, he was approached by two men in the area of Chili's Restaurant.

The man said that one of the men put a handgun to his head.

The robbers then stole the man's wallet, money and backpack, according to police.

Police said that the men fled on foot toward Price Chopper. The armed suspect is described as being a Hispanic male in his early 20s. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Police said he was wearing a navy-blue zippered sweat shirt, a white T-shirt and jeans. He has short black hair and a mustache, according to police.

The second robber was described as being a black male in his early 20s. Police said is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has a thick goatee, dark skin and bad acne on his forehead, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black Russell Athletic sweat shirt and faded black sweat pants.
