POSTED: 4:06 pm EDT May 15, 2008

Windsor police say DNA evidence helped officers make an arrest in a 2004 burglary case.

Geraldo Alfinez, was arrested on Thursday on charges of burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.

Alfinez was charged in connection with a burglary in the Poquonock section of town in November 2004.

During the burglary, police said electronics were stolen.

Police said DNA evidence collected at the scene later linked Alfinez to the crime.

He is currently being held on a $35,00 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on May 16.
