Crews were responding to a gas leak on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University on Thursday evening.

School officials said that a natural gas line was punctured shortly after 4 p.m. as crews took down a tent outside the dining hall.

Officials said one of the tent's stakes caused a small puncture in the line.

Yankee Gas was called to the campus and was working Thursday evening to repair the pipe.

School officials said that student's were not evacuated.
