HARTFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut police are investigating the killing of two men in a drive-by shooting in Hartford.Hartford police said that the two men were shot Monday about 6:30 p.m. on Wethersfield Avenue."It's a little scary, because I walk through here every single day," said one woman, who chose not to be identified. That bullet could have easily been for someone else."Police said the two men were on scooters when a car came from behind and someone in the car fired several times.Police said the shooting doesn't appear to be random. They said it's likely that the victims knew the person or people who killed them. The shootings came as people were involved in a church-sponsored peace rally in nearby Barnard Park. One of the men died at the scene, the second shooting victim died a short time later at Hartford Hospital.Police said they also found what appears to be a .22-caIiber gun in the street and numerous shell casings.Anyone with information is asked to call Hartford police.
