Tina Martin

Tina Martin joined the Eyewitness News team in August 2008. Tina's love for journalism started in high school when she worked as a reporter for her school station. She is a native New Englander with a passion for storytelling.

Tina worked as a press secretary for former Massachusetts Gov. Jane Swift in the state's office of business development prior to returning to her first love. She worked for several years as a reporter/anchor for WATD 95.9 FM radio in Massachusetts. Her radio reporting on the 2004 Democratic national convention in Massachusetts won an Associated Press award in 2005. She is the first African American in the station's history to win the award, which made national headlines.

Tina is the 2009-2010 winner of the Jacque Minnottee National Health Reporting Fellowship from theRadio Television Digital News Foundation.

Tina has worked as an anchor/reporter for WMCT-TV in central Massachusetts. She most recently worked as a news writer for WCVB-TV, Boston's ABC affiliate. She also worked as a reporter for the Worcester Bureau of New England Cable News. She received her degree in broadcast journalism from Emerson College in Boston.

Known for her smile and warm personality, Tina is a big proponent of building self esteem among young people.

Tina has been featured in several publications including Boston Magazine, Jet Magazine, and the Boston Herald.
