Titans Lock Up RT Stewart For Six Years

POSTED: 6:26 pm EDT June 28, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with right tackle David Stewart on a six-year contract extension on Saturday.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Tennessean is reporting the deal is worth $38.9 million with $10 million in guaranteed money, including a $6 million signing bonus. Stewart will reportedly receive a roster bonus of $2 million this year along with a base salary of roughly $1 million.

The 6-foot-7, 318-pound Stewart has started 30 games over the past two seasons. Stewart was selected by the Titans in the fourth round of the 2005 draft out of Mississippi State.

Tennessee also signed left tackle Michael Roos to a six-year, $43 million extension in April.
