Boston, MA -- (Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins signed forward Byron Bitz to a multi-year contract on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bitz appeared in 35 regular season games in his rookie season with Boston in 2008-09, registering four goals and three assists. He also tallied a goal and an assist in five postseason games.

The 24-year-old was originally drafted by the Bruins in the fourth round of the 2003 NHL Draft.
