STAMFORD, Conn. -- Threshold Mortgage Co. and the Gasoline and Automotive Service Dealers of America are offering $500 gas cards to consumers who obtain new mortgages of $150,000 or more. The new incentive program applies to those refinancing their existing home mortgages or purchase new ones."Many consumers may be unaware of mortgage products that could reduce their monthly payments and total borrowing costs,” said TMC President Steve Habetz. “We are hopeful that by partnering with GASDA we can spread the word and help Connecticut families cut their home payments while also helping them with weekly gasoline costs.""Our dealers realize the financial pressure our customers are under, and they are excited to be able to work with Threshold Mortgage as our customers will be able to save money on there mortgage payments and then on there gasoline purchases as well," said Michael Fox, executive director of GASDA.Information on the program is available at participating gas stations, local Realtor open houses and online.
