An old-style trolley was unveiled Wednesday morning for use in one Hartford neighborhood.

The Spanish American Merchants Association (SAMA) unveiled the trolley that it said will travel the city's Latino neighborhood.

Ramon Flores said he has owned the El Mercado market for 13 years and hopes the trolley is a vehicle for economic growth and will change people's opinions of the Frog Hollow Neighborhood.

"I hope that they see it's a different neighborhood -- good and safe," Flores said.

Park Street has undergone a face-lift in the past several months. Many of the street's buildings received new facades and a camera system is being installed to enhance security.

The trolley will make 19 stops in a one-mile radius on the street and the service will be offered free to the public.

"It's going to be great for all the shoppers who come to Park Street along with the elderly who live around here," said SAMA President Angel Sierra.
