Profile
The venerable Pico Mountain, a local favorite and the place where Andrea Mead (Lawrence) trained for her Olympic gold at her parent's resort, is now part of Big Brother Killington and the management and improvement efficiencies couldn't be more obvious. Still, Pico offers a self-contained experience that allows you to ski or ride here all day long and never drive up the mountain to the Big K. Pico is on Route 4 between Rutland and Killington. From the 3,967-foot summit, the fourth highest lift-served peak in Vermont, one can take in views on all sides. Pico, founded in 1937, is one of the oldest ski areas in the country and offers classic New England terrain for skiers and riders of all abilities.
