Big Y Backyard BBQ

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

2. There are two ways to enter: (i) go to any participating area Big Y World Class Market location during regular business hours from May 22, 2008 to August 13, 2008 and pickup an official entry form. Mail the completed entry form to: Big Y Backyard BBQ, WFSB Channel 3, c/o Stephanie Turner, 333 Capital Blvd, Rocky Hill, CT, 06067 or (ii) go to www.wfsb.com, complete the registration (there is no cost to register) and entry form and submit online. Sweepstakes begins May 22, 2008 and ends August 13, 2008. Mail entries must be postmarked on or before August 13, 2008 and received by August 15, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Online entries must be received by 4:59 p.m., ET, on August 13, 2008. One entry per household per week, regardless of method of entry. Non-winning weekly entries will be carried forward.

3. Entrants must be legal residents of Litchfield, Hartford, Tolland, Windham, New Haven, Middlesex or New London Counties in Connecticut and 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Additionally, winners must have a gas grill in proper working condition and space to accommodate the BBQ, as determined by WFSB. WFSB must be able to send/receive a quality satellite signal from the winner's outside area. Signal from the winner's yard will be tested prior to confirming the BBQ. Employees of WFSB, Meredith Corporation, Big Y Foods Inc., their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or persons residing in the same household are not eligible. Winners of a prize from WFSB within the past thirty (30) days from the beginning date of this sweepstakes are not eligible.

4. A total of twelve (12) winners will be selected. One (1) winner will be selected each Thursday from May 29, 2008 through August 7, 2008. The last winner will be selected on Monday August 15, 2008. All winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received by each weekly drawing. Limit one winner per city/town. A total of twelve (12) winners will be selected under the supervision of WFSB. All decisions of WFSB regarding winner selection and this sweepstakes are final. Winners will be notified by mail and prize delivered between June 12, 2008 and August 28, 2008.

5. Each of the twelve (12) winners will receive a backyard BBQ (on a date to be determined by WFSB) at their home hosted by Big Y World Class Markets, including food, condiments and paper products to serve 10 people; retail value $150. Alcohol is prohibited during the BBQ. Big Y and WFSB personalities will be present and WFSB may broadcast live during the 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. news.

6. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. WFSB is not responsible for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries or for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure of WFSB to receive entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web site or any combination thereof. WFSB also is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other's computer related to or resulting from entering the sweepstakes. WFSB reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of the rules. WFSB further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, the prizes will be awarded by a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person whose name the corresponding e-mail account is registered to. All entries become the property of WFSB and will not be returned.

8. Entry constitutes permission for WFSB to use winners' entry, name, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice and statements regarding this sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of WFSB and Meredith Corporation without compensation unless prohibited by law. Winner, and where applicable, travel companion, will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity unless prohibited by law, within two days of notification. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, fails to claim prize, fails to comply with all rules, is unable to travel on dates of prize or attend event on prize date, does not meet eligibility or fails to respond to the winner notification, the selected winner is disqualified and the prize is forfeited. If forfeited, another winner will be selected from among the eligible entries by random drawing. Subject to all U.S. federal, CT state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.

9. WFSB reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize cannot be awarded as described. If BBQ is postponed due to weather, Sponsors will attempt to reschedule.

10. By participating and winning a prize, winners release WFSB, Meredith Corporation and Big Y Foods Inc., their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in the sweepstakes and the prize won.
