NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- The Stanley Golf Course in New Britain has come up with a new way to keep golfers safe. When emergency strikes on the golf course, paramedics need to get there quickly, and New Britain has discovered a way to make that possible.Previously, when there was an emergency at Stanley Golf Course, an ambulance was called and whoever was in need had to wait for medics to arrive. Now a special EMS golf cart will be used to get paramedics to victims in less time.
The cart has two seats for paramedics and a stretcher for the patient. When the medics arrive, they transfer their equipment from the ambulance onto the car and head toward the emergency.City leaders said the cart will enable emergency workers to get to victims on the 60-acre course more quickly.
