An Old Lyme boy and member of the Channel 3 family will represent Connecticut in a T-ball game at the White House on Wednesday.

Connor Hogan, the son of Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin Hogan and Kim Hogan, was selected last month by Little League International to represent all T-ball players in Connecticut in the game.

The game will be held on the South Lawn of the White House on Wednesday afternoon.

A T-ball player from each state will participate in the game, which will be attended by President George W. Bush.

Each player will be given the chance to bat once as well as spend time in the outfield.

Following the game, a picnic and photo op will be held with the president, who will give each player an autographed baseball.

"Kim and I are just thrilled with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Kevin Hogan said.

An application written by Connor's mother was chosen by Little League International out of 550 applicants.

In the application, Kim Hogan wrote about Connor's maternal grandfather, whom he never had the chance to meet.

Kim Hogan wrote that the trip to Washington would give the family a chance to visit Arlington Cemetery, where her father, Richard Pittsinger, of Clinton, stood guard at The Tomb Of Unknown Soldiers during his time in the Army.

Pittsinger died in 1996, years before Connor was born.

Kevin Hogan said the family planned to visit Arlington on Thursday.

On Tuesday afternoon the family was visiting Rep. Joe Courtney's office and was hoping to visit the offices of Sens. Christopher Dodd and Joe Lieberman.
