Chipchura, Habs Agree To One-Year Deal

(Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Kyle Chipchura to a one-year contract on Saturday.

The former first-round pick spent the majority of the 2008-09 season with Montreal's American Hockey League affiliate in Hamilton, posting 14 goals and 21 assists in 51 games for the Bulldogs.

Chipchura amassed three assists in 13 games for the Canadiens last season.
