(Sports Network) - Janel McCarville tied the game with a three- point play with 43.9 seconds left, and Cathrine Kraayeveld made two free throws with 11.5 seconds to go as New York beat Atlanta, 71-69, at Madison Square Garden.

Shameka Christon scored 18 and had six rebounds for the Liberty, who posted their second victory in three games. Essence Carson added 17 points for New York.

Iziane Castro Marques had 18 points and Sancho Lyttle 17 for the Dream, who lost for the second time in three contests. Castro Marques also had eight boards and six assists. Erika DeSouza tallied 10 points and eight rebounds.
