MANCHESTER, Conn. -- Thousands of people from across the Northeast came out to the Manchester Road Race Thursday.

This year marked the 73rd year the 4.8-mile race has been run.

Some runners competed while others dressed up and had a good time.

This year’s winner was Haron Lagat, a Kenyan who lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Lagat finished the race in 21 minutes, 40 seconds.
