CBS News Correspondent Speaks At CAPBA Awards Banquet

WFSB-TV-DT is proud to receive several awards -- including the Mark Twain Award for Station Excellence -- from The Connecticut Associated Press Broadcasters Association.

CBS News correspondent Richard Schlesinger was the keynote speaker at Friday night's banquet for the Connecticut Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards for 2006.

Among the awards WFSB received include:

  • Best Weathercast: WFSB-TV, Mark Dixon and Bruce DePrest
  • Breaking News: WFSB-TV, News Director Dana Neves, "Hartford School Fire"
  • Enterprise: WFSB-TV, reporter Kara Sundlun, editor Tom Zukowski, photographer Cory Peck and producer Tara Moncheck - "Sex Predator Sting"
  • Best Web Site: WFSB-TV, Greg Ng and Stephanie Berning - "wfsb.com"
  • Best Newscast: WFSB-TV, News staff, executive producer Kerrie Wudyka
  • Mark Twain Award for Station Excellence: WFSB-TV, News staff
